Printing Your Cards or Sending Them Digitally

After completing your cards you have the choice of printing your cards, sending them digitally OR both! If you'll be printing your cards you can print on cardstock or photo paper. If sending digitally you can send via email, text, social media or using an e-card service. Below we outline all of your options and our recommendations.

PRINTING YOUR CARDS PROFESSIONALLY

5x7 Inch Cardstock Cards (Single or Double Sided)

Cardstock cards can be printed on only one side or both front and back. Various textures and thicknesses of cardstock paper are available. We recommend at least 110lb. cardstock for printing cards.

Popular choices for printing cardstock cards:

  • Corjl
  • Mpix.com
  • Walgreens
  • Walmart
  • Shutterfly
  • Staples - Office Depot - FedEx - UPS Store
  • Local Print Shops (vary by location)

Single Sided 5x7 Inch Photo Paper Cards

For single sided cards printed on photo paper, any photo lab can print your cards. Some printers include envelopes, others do not but you can purchase 5x7 envelopes at many stores. We recommend a semi-gloss photo paper if available.

Popular choices for printing photo paper cards:

  • Walgreens
  • CVS
  • Walmart
  • Shutterfly
  • Snapfish

PRINTING ON CARDSTOCK USING A COLOR COPIER

Another time-saving and cost efficient option is to print your cards as color copies on cardstock paper. While this option does not yield the same top quality result as many professional printers, it does allow you to quickly print your cards in a budget friendly manner without meeting any minimum order requirements that many online printers have. Staples, Office Depot, Fed Ex and UPS Store are popular options for printing color copies. This does require purchasing envelopes separately. Since your cards would be printed as an 8.5x11 inch sheet with two cards per sheet you will can either pay a small fee for the store to trim your cards to 5x7 inches or do it yourself at home.

SENDING YOUR CARDS DIGITALLY

Your card can be sent digitally via email, text or social media as an attachment just like you would send a digital photo. Simply download your card in a JPG format and attach to your message or post. *The card will still be formatted as a 5x7 inch ratio and will not resize to fill an entire phone screen.

E-CARD SERVICES

If you prefer to use an electronic card service that provides RSVP tracking and other digital features the following are popular choices:

  • Paperless Post®
  • Greenvelope
  • Evite (supports vertical card designs only)

Please note: these e-card sites may require a fee or membership to use their service.

Can I print my card at home on my home printer?

Sure! If you have a great printer at home you can print there. Choose a high quality photo setting to print and at least 100 lb. paper is recommended. Be sure to set your printer for the correct paper type.
