Free Class of 2018 Graduation Party Printables by Lil' Sprout Greetings

There's no denying that our Graduation Party Printables package is the most popular client request. We've brought it back once again this year, updated for the Class of 2018 and added a few new items including buffet labels and signs for "Cards" and "Advice for the future".

So, what is included in the free Class of 2018 package? Water bottle labels, cupcake toppers (that can also be used as favor tags or envelope seals), buffet labels, banner panels to spell out "Class of 2018", signs that read "CONGRADULATIONS" AND "The tassel was worth the hassle", and signs for an advice note station and a card box.

These buffet labels can be used two ways, as a hanging tag, as we've done above, or as a folded tent-style label. Add text to the labels by hand or open the file in a photo editing program and add wording with a font. These also make great place cards if you'll be having a sit down dinner.

All of our printables come formatted for printing on standard 8.5x11 inch cardstock. Instructions are listed on each page. If you don't have a good quality printer at home, Staples and Office Depot can print the graduation printables in-store using their laser printers for roughly .50-.80 per sheet of cardstock (depending on the quality of cardstock that you choose). I personally prefer to upload the files to their Print & Copy Center via the website and place my order then pick up later in the day, but you can also save the files to a memory card or flash drive and take that in store for them to print the items.

Free Summer Camp Note Card Printable & Packing Tips for Overnight Camps

By Amanda Mackell
on July 01, 2017

summer-camp-stationery-printable-free

Last year our 10 year old son was chosen by lottery to attend the week-long Camp North Woods in Maine. Although he'd  done plenty of day camps over the past 5 years, the overnight part was a whole new ball game and it was the longest that we'd ever been away from each other. There were no phone calls to parents, no texting or electronics (every kid needs a break from these!), so writing via old fashioned snail mail was encouraged. Like most 10 year old boys, getting him to write a letter home was not too appealing so I worked with him to design some camp stationery that he would actually use.

We sent him with extra envelopes, a book of stamps, and a sheet of paper with addresses. In hindsight, I highly recommend pre-addressing and stamping at least some of the envelopes ahead of time. We also learned some other valuable overnight camp tips that I'll share at the bottom of this post.

summer camp note printable lilsproutgreetings

The camp note cards measure 4x5.5 inches when folded and fit perfectly in an A2 sized envelope, which are pretty easy to find at office supply or craft stores. The files are formatted to be printed on standard 8.5x11 inch sized cardstock and can then be cut in half and folded. I highly recommend printing at Staples or Office Depot in-store using their laser printers. They'll print a sheet of cardstock for around .69 each, making each note card roughly .35 each. What makes these note cards great is that they can be used for any age and for summer camp or family camping trips.

While the note card files are free, no commercial use without permission please. Download the free summer camp note card.

Overnight Summer Camp Tips

1. Let your child practice applying sunscreen BEFORE they get to camp. This particular camp did not allow spray sunscreen (we only use lotion sunscreen anyway), but teaching them to apply properly in advance will ensure that they are properly protected from sunburns while away.

2. Send them with a few pairs of GOOD socks. The moisture-wicking type that are made for hiking... you know, the ones that cost $10 a pair and can only be found at specialty stores? They're worth it to save your kids feet from blisters and sweat.

3. Include a quick-dry camp towel in addition to the regular towels. Depending on the weather, the typical beach towels can take a LONG time to dry and a camp towel is great for the shower. It's compact and dries quickly.

4. Pack extra batteries for the flashlight. Just in case.

5. Place outfits for each day of summer camp in a gallon sized plastic baggie. There are also 2 gallon sized baggies if you need something bigger. Then your child can just grab their toiletries, towel, and the plastic baggie and head to the shower! The bags can later be used to store wet or dirty clothing if necessary.

6. Take flat-lay photos of what you're packing so when it comes time to pick up your child at camp you can go through their bags and see if anything is missing. In my experience it's inevitable that SOMETHING will be lost or left behind. I'd rather have it be a t-shirt or towel instead of an expensive flashlight or pair of shoes!

These are only a few tips that we found were the most useful. Our son had the best time at camp and learned so much. It was an experience of a lifetime and something that he'll never forget!

With summer in full-swing and the 4th of July just a few weeks away, we've had several client requests for Patriotic birthday invitations and of course we're happy to oblige! The Fourth of July joint birthday invitation below is a client favorite from last year.

One of our most popular requests every year is for our free graduation printables. For our third year in offering the printables we've added a set of 8x10 inch signs that read "CONGRADULATIONS" AND "The tassel was worth the hassle".

"Class of 2017" banner panels are formatted as two 5x7's on an 8.5x11 inch sheet. Cut out the panels, string together (I used twine), and you have quick and easy decor!

Water bottle labels are formatted as 2x8 inches and have ample space for trimming so that they can fit any brand of water bottle. These also work great as napkin wraps!

And perhaps my favorite product of all because of it's versatility: the 2" circles. This printable decor item can be left as a 2.5 inch square or cut out using a 2 inch circular scrapbook punch as shown below.

Use the circles as cupcake toppers, favor tags/labels, envelope seals, or even straw labels!

And of course our coordinating thank you note. These notes are to be printed on 8.5x11 inch stock, cut in half, and folded to create two notes that measure 4.25x5.5 inches each. These thank you notes fit the standard A5 envelopes that are easily found at craft stores or office supply stores.

All of the printable items above are offered as free downloads. We highly recommend printing on cardstock using a laser printer for the best quality. Staples and Office Depot are great options for printing, with pricing per-sheet being around .69. You can upload the files to their Copy and Print Center online or save the files to a thumb drive or memory card to take in-store to print. Keep in mind that we also offer a large variety of graduation announcements/invitations in either a digital format to print on your own, or already printed on cardstock or photo paper.

Happy Holidays from Lil' Sprout Greetings

By Amanda Mackell
on December 26, 2016

As 2016 winds down to a close I wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all of our wonderful clients. Thank you for choosing us for your invitations & announcements, thank you for your kind words and feedback, thank you for being wonderful you! There are many families that I have been working with for years and I truly enjoy "seeing" their kids grow through their photos from year to year.

I have to say that 2016 was a bit of a bittersweet, rollercoaster year for us. We added a sweet baby boy to our family in February, and in June lost one of the most cherished people in our lives after a year-long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Managing a business as a sole proprietor hasn't been easy while raising a little one (and all on 4 hours of sleep!), but it's something that I wouldn't trade. This business has been such a fulfilling creative outlet for me for the past 9+ years and I can't imagine doing anything else.

In March 2017 Lil' Sprout Greetings will celebrate 10 years in business and I'm excited for what this new year has in store. New beginnings, new product, and hopefully more growth. I look forward to working with clients, old and new. I hope your holidays were filled with joy and the new year holds great things for you as well!

The 2016 Holiday/Christmas Card Collection

By Amanda Mackell
on November 12, 2016

If you haven't already taken a peek, head on over to check out the new designs added to our holiday card section!

christmas card collection lilsproutgreetings

This year metallics such as gold, rose gold and silver with black and white continue to be popular choices as well hand drawn lettering and accents. I've added many new designs with these elements and really focused on offering options for each of the new holiday card designs such as color options and number of photos.

Our Blessed Family holiday card above is the perfect example of multiple offerings. The black/white/gold option above offers a clean, modern option while the red/black plaid and multi-color options below offer a holiday and more child-oriented option.

In many cases we can also change colors to suit whatever you would like, just drop us a note first!

More Christmas card designs will be added throughout the month of November, as time allows for creating!

It's finally here! I don't know about you, but fall is my favorite time of the year! Perfect weather, beautiful trees, and all things PUMPKIN! It's also the perfect time of year for outdoor birthday parties, mainly pumpkin patch parties. Our fall birthday invitations have been such a hit that we've added a couple of new designs for this year. A new addition to the Lil' Sprout family...

By Amanda Mackell
on July 15, 2016

The blog and website have taken a bit of a back seat the past few months, as we've added a new "Lil' Sprout" to our family...

lil sprout greetings grady 1

Meet Grady. Loved by his parents, but most of all by his big brother. He's got us all wrapped around his little finger. And fast forward 4 months...

lil sprout greetings grady 2

This little man is growing waaaay too fast! He will stop crying in an instant when his big brother walks into the room and loves to babble and screech. We couldn't be more in love with this sweet boy.

I've recently added a simplified version of his birth announcement to the website. I designed the front to be simple and we added an 8-photo collage to the back as a way of sharing as many photos as possible with our families (who all live 600 miles away!). For the site I've decided to keep the back more of a simple design as you'll see below. I've also included a girls version in a soft pink shade. These print beautifully on a white, matte cardstock and the simplicity allows baby's photo to be the focus.

As with any of our designs, colors can be changed and photos can be added to the back side of cardstock cards for an additional fee.

free class of 2016 graduation printables & thank you note
Graduation season is upon us once again and we're excited to offer our free printable decor package to the Class of 2016 once again this year. Our printable cupcake toppers, Class of 2016 banner, and thank you notes were so popular last year we've decided to add water bottle labels to the collection.
free class of 2016 graduation printable water bottle labels & cupcake toppers
Water bottle labels measure 8.5x2 inches and fit a standard water bottle. Cupcake toppers are formatted to be cut with a 2 inch circular scrapbook punch, although they can be kept square and used as favor tags or printed on adhesive paper for use as envelope seals.

The banner includes panels to spell "Class of 2016" with spacers and end pieces. Each panel measures approximately 5x7 inches and can be tied together with twine or ribbon.

Finally, our thank you note is a folded style that will print 2-per 8.5x11inch sheet. Each folded thank you note measures approximately 4.25x5.5 inches and will fit standard A2 sized envelopes (found at most office supply stores, scrapbook stores or craft stores).

How to download and print:
The free printables in the Class of 2016 graduation collection can be downloaded from Dropbox here. All items are formatted for printing on standard 8.5x11 inch sheets of cardstock, and we recommend printing at your local Staples/OfficeDepot if you don't have a good quality printer at home. They will print on cardstock using their laser printers for roughly $.70 per sheet of cardstock. Files can be uploaded to their Copy and Print Center online, emailed to the store (check with your particular store for the correct email address) or saved to a thumb drive and taken in store. In most cases the prints can even be picked up the same day within a few hours or printed immediately in-store.
If you're in need of graduation announcements or invitations, be sure to visit our collection in the shop!
