Digital JPEG file FAQ

Your digital file is formatted as any normal photograph taken with a digital camera. Simply download the file we email to you and save it to your computer, flash drive, or disk. From there you can take it to a local photo lab or print shop for printing, or upload it to an online photo printer or card printer. For photo cards, print the cards as you would any normal photo. For card stock or cover stock cards, consult with your print shop for the full bleed card size and color profile. If you need the file in another size for format, we would be happy to accommodate.

Photo paper cards can be printed at any local or online photo lab. Often, 1 hour print prices are more expensive. We recommend 5x7 inch cards, which can be found for as little as .25 each to .45 each at Costco, Sam’s Club, or Winkflash.com. We do not recommend printing at the instant print kiosks as the machines are of poor quality and rarely calibrated.
Cover stock cards can be printed at home, your local print shop, along with most Staples or Kinkos. Online companies such as VistaPrint.com, OvernightPrints.com, and Mpix.com offer cover stock cards as well. We are not affiliated with any of these stores, nor do we endorse them. It is your responsibility to determine their pricing and file requirements such as sizing specifications and file type BEFORE placing your order. Print sizes vary by company. Please make a note in the additional information section of the order form as to where you will be printing if using card stock so we can double check the size requirements.

Envelopes are not included with your digital file. Check with your printer to see if they offer envelopes. Most cover stock or card stock cards come with envelopes. Cards printed on photo paper usually come with envelopes if printed as a photo card or purchase them separately. They can be found at your local office supply store, Target, Walmart, etc. There are several online stores that also offer envelopes in quantities as low as 25.

We also include a .25” margin to account for cropping that naturally occurs during the printing process. Unless using a professional photo lab, we high recommend doing a test print of a single card before printing the entire quantity you need.
** We are not responsible for color discrepancies or print quality with other companies.
** If you need a release for your printer, we would be happy to provide one for you. Given that releases are rarely required, we only provide them upon request.
** By purchasing our digital JPEG file, the rights to your personalized file are transferred to you. You do not own our original design or artwork on the cards. The digital file may be used for personal use only and may not be claimed as your own.
